Soon Chrome will completely end support for extensions based on the old Manifest V2 standard - which is what most of the tools we know, such as Adblock or uBlock, are based on. Previously, these restrictions could still be bypassed using various tricks and loopholes, but now this gate is closed permanently.
Don't want to watch tons of ads? Google doesn't care. To continue using the Internet comfortably, you will need to switch to Firefox, Safari or other alternative browsers. It seems that for the sake of advertising profits, the technology giant is ready to severely damage the popularity of its flagship product.
